Years from now, what will you remember about this Christmas? Will it be the perfect gift you gave your child after searching the stores or online? How about the stress of making sure the meal was just right? Was it borrowing money? Money that will take you months to repay and add to your financial woes? Disagreements between family members?
Or is it a time to show your love to those around you? To be thankful for what you have. To repeat wonderful stories of Christmases passed. To be grateful for the gift but more grateful for the giver. To realize it is not the cost of the gift but the love in which it is given. And after the meal is forgotten, the fellowship will be remembered.
It is my hope and prayer is that this the Christmas will be a wonderful time for you and your loved ones to remember the greatest gift of all.
May God richly bless you and yours at Christmas and throughout the year.
Darrell
May you have a blessed Christmas, as well. I know for many of us it is bittersweet, as we think about those who have gone before us. God bless and keep you, may He smile upon you.
